In Nov. 2009 we have met in the Mahn- und Gedenkstätte Ravensbrück for a German-Polish youth meeting project. The whole event is based on events from the past here in Ravensbrück, the former concentration camp for women. To work on different aspects about Ravensbrück and also the contemporary relations btw. Germans and Poles, we have worked in 3 groups: I. - A presentation of the drawings of Krystyna Zaorska, a former Polish inmate of Ravensbrück II. The relations of - and differences btw. the concentration camps Majdanek and Ravensbrück III. Producing a small website - which is what our group did...

WHAT IS OUR AIM? Our main purpose is to disprove or support typical stereotypes between Poles and Germans that accompany us for many years. We have discussed with each other about our different point of views. We have done interview with survivors and we are sure that it will help to have a more realistic view to the history of the Ravensbrück camp.
